What Happens After My Restorative Work Has Been
Completed?

DISCOMFORT – You may experience soreness in front of the ear from the injection or from having your mouth open for a pro-longed period of time. Mild tooth pain or sensitivity to hot/cold foods or liquids could last for up to 3 weeks.

GUM TISSUE - You may have sore gums that ache after the procedure, please rinse with warm salt water (1 Tbsp to 8 oz).

DIET – You may eat whatever you wish, keep in mind that you could still be numb, please intake small bites and chew slowly to avoid biting your cheek, lip or tongue.

CHEWING PAIN – You may find it uncomfortable to chew certain foods. A bite adjustment may be required, it is not necessary to be numb. An adjustment is done to the filling only followed by a smooth polish.

Thank you for having the confidence and trust in our office to provide you with exceptional dentistry. We value you and hope to maintain a relationship to serve you beyond your teeth. We believe that good oral health is a key to good overall total body health.
